When COVID-19 travel restrictions began to be lifted last year, foreign investors returned to commercial real estate in the United States. Foreign investment exceeded pre-pandemic levels by 2021, according to a new report from Real Capital Analytics.

Foreign investors will buy $ 70.8 billion in commercial real estate in the United States in 2021. This represents the highest total amount since 2018, at $ 94.6 billion.

The countries most represented by US international commercial investment in 2021 are, according to the report, Canada, Singapore, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
